Dr. Samer Sakka Amini

Dr. Samer Sakka Amini is an ENT specialist at Medcare Medical Centre. He obtained his MBBS from Damascus University in Syria and his postgraduate CES degree in ENT from Nancy University in France. Additionally, he completed Audiology training courses from Hôpital Central and CHU de Brabois in Nancy, France, and CHU Pellegrin in Bordeaux, France. He is a member of the French Society of Audiology, the G Portmann Institute, the Middle East Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, the French Society of ENT, and the Arab Federation of Organisations Working with the Deaf (AFOWD).                                                    

Dr. Amini started his career as an ENT Specialist with the Damascus Military Hospital in Syria, and later joined the Faculty of Medicine at Damascus University, where he supervised and trained students on audio-vestibular surveys (Audiology) including layout of hearing tests, Tympanometry, Brainstem responses, Videonystagmography, dizziness, hearing loss and migraine diseases. When he left after working for nearly two decades, he was the Head of the Audiology Department. At the same time, he worked in a private practice as a Specialist in ENT & Audiology. Subsequently, he relocated to the UAE to join the Saudi German Hospital as an ENT Specialist, then the GMC Clinics, HealthHub, Al Futtaim and Polyclinic.ae. He possesses great skills in managing and supporting daily operations, team leadership, and multi-tasking under pressure.

Dr. Amini’s expertise covers all ENT conditions, audiology procedures, and diagnosis and management of hearing loss and dizziness, besides outpatient and inpatient consultations. He has practised medicine in three countries, making him proactive and flexible with strong organisational, technical and interpersonal skills. He has successfully treated acute and chronic ear diseases in paediatric and adult patients, audiovestibular troubles, vertigo, Tinnitus, oral and throat disorders, tonsils and adenoids diseases, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis and nasal polyps. He also treats headaches and migraines, hoarseness of voice and the removal of foreign bodies from the ear, nose and throat.

During his leisure hours, he enjoys reading and walking. He speaks Arabic, English and French fluently.
