Dr. Othman Mohammad Othman

Dr. Othman Mohammad Othman is a Specialist in Otolaryngology at Medcare Medical Centre. He obtained his MBBS and MD in Otolaryngology from Damascus University in Syria. He is certified by both the Arab Board and the Syrian Board. He is a member of the Syrian Society of Otolaryngology.

Dr. Othman commenced his career as an ENT Resident over a decade ago at Al-Mouwasat University Hospital in Syria. He then joined Al Reaaya Hospital, a social charity organisation in Damascus, as an ENT specialist. He also practised as an ENT visiting surgeon at Almadina Private Hospital and the University of Kalamoon. He briefly taught students in the anatomy department of the University of Kalamoon before moving to the UAE. In the UAE, he joined the Al Zahrawi Hospital, RAK, as an ENT Surgeon. 

Dr. Othman’s repertoire of expertise covers rhinology, allergies, hearing loss, obstructive sleep apnoea and snoring and breathing difficulties, recurrent upper respiratory tract infections, nasal and sinus surgeries, adenotonsillectomy and childhood hearing problems and speech delay. He treats allergic rhinitis and polyps, turbinate hypertrophy, deviated nasal septum and other causes of nasal blockage, hearing loss and tinnitus, ear infections, tympanic membrane perforation, otosclerosis, and performs hearing assessment and tympanometry. Patients come to him with throat congestion, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, swallowing difficulties, changes in voice and hoarseness, laryngitis, cough, salivary gland diseases, neck masses, rhinoplasty and dorsal humps, dizziness and vestibular system diseases. He performs laryngoscopy, nasal endoscopy, functional endoscopic sinus surgery, septoplasty, turbinate surgery, tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, myringotomy, VT insertions and middle ear microsurgery.

He speaks both Arabic and English.
