Dr. Stefano Veglio

Dr. Stefano Veglio is a Consultant Dermatologist in the Department of Dermatology & Aesthetics at the Jumeirah branch of Medcare Medical Centre.  He is a highly qualified and skilled doctor, who studied medicine in Turin, Italy and did his training as a Dermatologist at the University of Turin where he received his Board Certification. He completed his Post-graduation in Dermoscopy from the University of Milan, Italy and a Master's Degree in Botulin Toxin Injection from the Italian Association of Aesthetic Botox Therapy (AITEB), Florence, Italy. He is a member of several prestigious global organizations including the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the European Society for Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dermatology, the Italian Society for Lasers in Dermatology and the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Dermatology.

Dr. Veglio worked for more than two decades with the Regional Hospital of Aosta Valley, Italy, first as Vice Head Physician and then as the Head Physician. During this period, he focused on skin cancer detection with dermoscopic examinations and dermatologic surgeries for skin cancers. He was assigned as the Director of the Allergology Section of the Dermatology Unit and was also the Consultant Dermatologist for the Paediatric Department of the hospital. During this period, he also focused on sunlight-induced skin diseases, hives, psoriasis, skin blistering diseases, vasculitis, vitiligo, and other collagen vascular diseases such as scleroderma and lupus erythematous. He worked with Cooper Health Clinic in Dubai before joining Medcare.

Dr. Veglio is renowned for his aesthetic treatments of rejuvenation, elimination of skin blemishes, superficial and deep chemical peels and computerized monitoring of cutaneous moles. He has always been keenly interested in the field of Aesthetic Dermatology and he currently uses anti-wrinkle injections as well as other treatments like dermal fillers, dermatological peelings, laser & IPL, carbon-dioxide therapy and micro-needling. He has successfully treated patients using Botox, fillers, skin quality injectables, biostimulant injectables, laser treatments, radiofrequency, microneedling, chemical peels, PRP and PRGF, Exosomes therapy, hair loss treatments, excisions and cryotherapy, acne treatments, scars and acne scars treatments. He has treated skin cancer surgically, performed double chin correction, liquid rhinoplasty and mesotherapy, and managed skin ageing (thinning, photo ageing and wrinkling), skin infections (herpes,  folliculitis, furunculosis, ringworm) and pigmentation (melasma, PIH, freckles).

During his leisure hours, he likes to keep active by swimming and mountain trekking. He also enjoys listening to music and reading. He speaks English, French, Italian and Spanish.
