Dr. Rasha Elfakharany

Dr. Rasha Elfakharany is a Specialist in Dermatology practising at Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her MBChB and Master's in Dermatology and Venereology from the Faculty of Medicine, Tanta University in Egypt. 

During the initial years of her career, Dr. Elfakharany worked as a Specialist in Dermatology with the Ministry of Health in Egypt. Later, she moved to the UAE to serve as a Specialist in Dermatology at RAK Hospital in Ras Al-Khaimah, followed by a stint at Al Zahra Hospital, Dubai and Al Zahra Medical Center. She then joined Retaj Medical Center in Ras Al Khaimah and Mediclinic Hospital Abu Dhabi (Al Mamora)  before joining the  American Hospital Dubai (Al Khawaneej clinic) as a Specialist in Dermatology.

Dr. Elfakharany’s expertise covers all aspects of skin, hair, and nail diseases including clinical dermatology, surgical dermatology, aesthetic dermatology and all clinical dermatology procedures.She performs skin cancer screening and mole mapping, biological therapy for treating severe resistant cases of psoriasis, alopecia, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa and chronic idiopathic urticaria. She is proficient in punch and excision biopsy, cryotherapy, electrocautery, curettage, and phototherapy. She treats benign lesions (Skin tags, cysts, lipomas, moles), acne and acne scars, skin lifting and tightening, laser skin rejuvenation, hair loss and uses Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and exosomes for the hair and skin. She successfully uses Botulinum toxin(Antiwrinkle, Gummy smile, Hyperhidrosis), micro-needling, chemical peel, radiofrequency, mesotherapy injections for skin rejuvenation and pigmentation, skin boosters, and collagen stimulation for melasma and hyperpigmentation management.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading. She speaks Arabic and English fluently.
