Dr. Vaqar Khan

Dr. Vaqar Khan is a highly experienced Prosthodontist and Implant Specialist at Medcare Hospital, Sharjah. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) from Subharati Dental College, India and a Master's Degree in Prosthodontics, including Crown, Bridges & Implantology from Yenepoya Dental College, affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India. During this period, he also completed a one-year Fellowship in Implantology from Nobel Biocare. He has completed the Joint Commission Dental National Board Exam (JCDNE), USA and has been certified as a Specialist Prosthodontics with Implant Privilege by the Health Department of Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Khan began his career as a General Dentist at the Institute of Dental Sciences, followed by a stint as a Prosthodontist and Restorative Dentist at Maheshwari Orthodontics in India. He later worked at Jamna Ba Sarvajanik Hospital and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation as a Consultant Prosthodontist. Before moving to the UAE to join Aster DM Healthcare, he worked as a director and full-time Prosthodontist at Ozone Dental Care, India. After that, he worked with Burjeel Hospital, SEHA - the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, SMILE Al Reem Dental Centre and KMC Medical Centre in Al Ain as a Specialist Prosthodontist and Dental Implant Maxillofacial Prosthodontist. 

With almost two decades of clinical expertise in advanced restorative and implant dentistry, Dr. Khan specialises in restoring missing teeth, complex bite problems, and full-mouth rehabilitation using evidence-based, precision-driven treatment planning. He has successfully treated complex implant and rehabilitation cases, including medically compromised patients and multidisciplinary dental cases. He treats missing teeth and tooth loss, tooth pain, chewing difficulty or bite collapse, broken, worn, or damaged teeth, loose dentures or ill-fitting prosthesis. He performs root canal treatment for infected or painful teeth, dental fillings for cavities and tooth decay and dental implants after tooth extraction. He skilfully addresses aesthetic concerns related to smile and facial balance, full mouth rehabilitation, crowns and bridges, implant-supported dentures, bite correction and occlusal rehabilitation, multiple failed dental restorations, and smile makeover.
