Dr. Mridula Dhakad

Dr. Mridula Dhakad is a Specialist Interventional Cardiologist at Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital. She completed her MBBS and MD (Medicine) from Sawai Man Singh Medical College and Hospital, Jaipur, India. She pursued cardiology training at Bombay Hospital and Research Centre, one of the largest multidisciplinary hospitals in India and was awarded a Diplomat of Cardiology (DNB) from the National Board of India. She holds a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology from ICPS, Paris. She simultaneously gained some experience in evaluation and interpretation of cardiac MRI.

She has extensive experience in Invasive as well as Non-invasive cardiology and has supported and kick started Transesophageal echocardiography and Dobutamine stress echocardiography in many tertiary cardiac centers. She has spent more than three decades in this field, having worked in India and UAE with over 16 years of experience in the latter region.

Dr. Dhakad has an extensive career in cardiology, beginning in UAE with her tenure at Rashid Hospital where she played a pivotal role in advancing a non-invasive Cardiology laboratory. Prior to moving to the UAE, she contributed significantly to multidisciplinary hospitals across India. For nine years, she served as a Specialist Interventional Cardiologist at Saudi German Hospital. Currently, she has been affiliated with Gargash Hospital for the past four years, continuing her dedicated pursuit of cardiovascular care.

She has keen interest in performing radial coronary angiograms and percutaneous interventions, adult as well as pediatric echocardiograms(including strain rate imaging), Holter monitoring ,Event recording, Ambulatory BP monitoring and Head up Tilt Test .Her expertise spans a wide spectrum of cardiovascular conditions including Coronary Artery Disease, Heart Failure, Primary and Secondary Hypertension, Aortic Diseases, Pericardial Diseases, Valvular Heart Disease (including Rheumatic variants), Congenital Heart Disease, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Deep Vein Thrombosis, Pulmonary Embolism, Pulmonary Artery Hypertension, and other complex cardiac issues.

She has successfully treated women with heart diseases, focusing particularly on their care during pregnancy. Her expertise ensures comprehensive and specialized cardiac care for women facing the unique challenges of heart conditions during this critical period.

She has attended many international and local cardiac conferences and participates in discussions about new developments in the field. She is in involved in organizing and conducting lectures in medical events and is passionate about teaching undergraduate and post-graduate medical students. She speaks English and Hindi.
