Ms. Benfel Ruth Urbano

Ms. Benfel Ruth Urbano is a Laser Technician and Nurse in the Aesthetics Department of Medcare Medical Centre. She obtained her BSc in Nursing from the Perpetual Health College, Manila in the Philippines and then completed a Specialisation in Aesthetics from the Academie Esthetique in Dubai. She holds multiple certifications in laser hair removal, facial rejuvenation, and body contouring and is a member of the Philippine Nurses Association.

Ms. Urbano began her career as a Staff Nurse at the President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital in the Philippines and then moved to the UAE. She worked across several Aesthetic clinics in the UAE, including the International Aesthetic Medical Centre, Dermaline Clinic, Al Biraa Clinic, Roya Medical Center and Al Rawi Medical Center as a Laser Specialist. She gained rich professional experience, working with diverse teams and delivering excellent results and customer satisfaction.

Ms. Urbano specialises in Aesthetic treatments, particularly laser hair Removal using Ndyag, Alexandrite and Diode machines. She performs laser skin rejuvenation and hair bleaching using Q-switch lasers, skin care treatments such as hydra-facial, hydra-beauty, medical facials, mild chemical peels, mesotherapy or derma-pen, microdermabrasion, micro-needling with RF, Radio Frequency, HIFU for skin tightening. She does tattoo removal and vascular laser treatments under the doctor's supervision. Patients come to her for the removal of excessive and unwanted body hair, treatment of acne, comedones, enlarged pores, oily skin, ageing and sagging skin, wrinkles, fine lines, pigmentation and improvement of uneven skin tone.

Her core competencies include operating and maintaining various types of laser machines, such as Candela, Cynosure, Deka, LightSheer, Q-switch, and IPL.  She also performs other procedures, such as LPG, Lumicell, Cavilipo, Encurve, and CoolSculpting, with safety and efficiency.

She likes to dabble in the kitchen, as she enjoys cooking and baking in her spare time. She speaks English and Tagalog.
