Dr. Wafaa Faysal

Dr. Wafaa Faysal is a Paediatric Consultant in the Department of Paediatrics at the Medcare Paediatric Speciality Clinic and the Medcare Women & Children Hospital. She completed her MBBS with a speciality in Paediatrics from the American University of Beirut and obtained a Paediatric Nutrition Certificate from the Boston University School Of Medicine.
She is a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, UK, and a member of the Lebanese Order of Physicians. She has held many prestigious positions including the Chair of the Global Paediatric Congress, Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Sharjah University, College of Medicine, Assistant Professor at Lebanese University and Beirut Arab University, and has served as a member of the scientific committee at many regional and international conferences.
Dr. Faysal commenced her career as a Paediatrician at Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital in Saudi Arabia and then at the Clemenceau Medical Center in Beirut. She spent many years as a Paediatric Consultant and Head of Department at Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital before joining the Medcare Hospital in Dubai.
Dr. Faysal’s expertise in general paediatrics covers a range of children’s diseases that includes atopic dermatitis (eczema), periodic fever syndrome, gastroenteritis, urinary tract infections, constipation, coeliac disease and Multisystem inflammatory syndrome post-Covid (MIS-C). Additionally, she takes a special interest in treating conditions like childhood enuresis, asthma, pneumonia, allergic diseases, faltering growth, short stature, precocious puberty, autism and ADHD.
In her free time, Dr. Faysal likes to keep fit by pursuing a variety of sports like swimming and horseback riding. She also likes music, painting, writing poetry, and using social media. She is fluent in both Arabic and English.
