Dr. Kawa Saleh is a Consultant in Orthopaedic Surgery in the Department of Orthopaedics at the Mirdif City Centre branch of Medcare Medical Centre. After completing an MD in Medicine from Denmark, he was certified by the National Board of Health, Denmark, the National Board of Health, Norway and the National Board of Health, Sweden. He is a member of the Danish Orthopaedic Association.
Dr. Saleh spent some time in the management of sports injuries at Odense University Hospital in Denmark and then served at various hospitals across Sweden and Norway before moving to the UAE. He possesses rich experience in dealing with sports injuries, hip and knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, meniscus treatment, ligament reconstruction, shoulder treatment, both operative and conservative, and spine treatment. He is proficient at treating acute fractures, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendon rupture, heel spurs and inflammation. He has successfully performed hand surgery for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, trigger finger, lipoma and ganglion (bible cyst). His expertise covers major joint reconstruction, and primary knee replacement surgery, including revision surgery and total hip replacement surgery, arthroscopic ankle surgery, ankle fusion, ligament reconstruction and toes deformity correction. He also performs conservative and surgical procedures for simple and complex fractures of the lower and upper extremities. Dr. Saleh offers innovative medical and surgical treatment for joint arthritis, always attempting traditional treatment modalities before any intervention.
During his leisure hours, Dr Saleh keeps active by playing sports and likes reading, spending time with family and learning new languages. He speaks a variety of languages like Arabic, Danish, English, German, Norwegian and Russian.
